Palestinian official accuses Israel of war crimes against Gaza detainees

Riad al-Ashqar, director of the Palestine Center for Prisoner Studies, told Shehab Wire that detainees from Gaza face extremely harsh detention conditions and that Israeli occupation authorities have committed clear war crimes against them since October 7. He said the abuses range from killings through torture and medical neglect to direct execution.
Al-Ashqar called for the formation of international committees to visit and inspect detention centers holding Gaza prisoners.
