Original Reporting

Twenty young volunteers in Gaza completed the first training workshop held by Mena'a Ltd on Sunday, a session devoted to field documentation, occupational safety and digital security — skills the organization says are the foundation of responsible documentation work.

The workshop combined practical, hands-on training with discussions of ethics, safety and the protection of sensitive information, preparing participants for future fieldwork. Mena'a's team in Gaza — Salem El Rayyes, Osama Hamid and Asil Almanssi — led the training on the ground, while the organization's leadership joined the session by video link from Ramallah.

Mena'a describes the workshop as only the beginning. The organization says it plans to expand opportunities for young Palestinians to build practical research and documentation skills while contributing to work that preserves important visual records of Palestinian life for future generations — one shared commitment, in its words, to preserving memory through responsible documentation.
